Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident

Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
