Analysis has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from UK airports, with some allegedly having onboard women from the UK who assert they were victimized by the convicted child sex offender.
The travel manifests were part of thousands of legal papers and files released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the previous twelve months. The investigation found 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – including many that were previously unknown – arriving or departing from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Unidentified female passengers were listed among the passengers entering and exiting the UK. Significantly, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“It was ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his operations in the country,” said US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein victims.
A statement from one of the British victims was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. Yet, that survivor has not received any contact by UK authorities, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any additional evidence that would support reopening the investigation.” They added, “If fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, encompassing any arising from the release of material in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the US government in relation to Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of documents are expected to be made public.
Separately, a federal judge ordered last week that the department could make public evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
