FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
